Mixed-Cell Type Choroidal Melanoma in a Middle-Aged Woman

Introduction: Melanomas are malignant neoplasms that occur in various anatomical sites, including the eye. Ocular melanomas account for 5% of all and mainly described Caucasian older individuals. Case report: A 41-year-old female patient, brown eyes, without history ophthalmological diseases or family cancer experienced pain loss visual acuity left On examination, an increase ocular pressure was detected. The patient referred to Oncology Ophthalmology department enucleation due suspected melanoma. Anatomopathological analysis revealed blackened eyeball. Histologically, comprised spindle cells (50%) epithelioid (50%). diagnosis choroidal established based identification ophthalmoscopic, imaging, histological tumor. Conclusion: Choroidal usually males, clear-eyed, wide variety lesions may mimic melanoma, which should be included differential nevus peripheral hemorrhages.
